OFF-GRID RETREAT offers two unique and private accommodation options set within 50 acres of private forest surrounding a sustainable homestead powered by solar energy, just 20 minutes from Owen Sound and an easy 2-3 hour drive from the GTA.
You can start your day with a plentiful breakfast of home-made and local products, then set out to explore the local area, the Bruce Peninsula, or cocoon yourself on-site with over 4 km of nature trails to yourself through varied woodlands comprised of 20 different conifer and deciduous tree species. Habitats on the property are home to a rich variety of animal life, especially birds and mammals.
The forest also holds special features like a meditative walking labyrinth, wind chimes amongst the trees, and a grand old maple so large it needs 3 people holding hands to hug it all around. Guests can relax & detox in the wood-fired barrel sauna or enrich their stay with a guided nature walk, a renewable energy site tour, have some fun with musical instruments, or arrange on-site services by SoulTrail including forest therapy (aka Shinrin Yoku or forest bathing).
