Experience Off-Grid Living

Most rural homes are connected to HydroOne, but I like to say I am on HydroNONE! Electricity is generated…

on-site, over 95% from solar and wind power, then stored in batteries for regular household use. Off-grid living requires a few adaptations, and a fair bit of mindfulness to conditions, but it is far from roughing it.

If you have ever wondered what it is like, or even toyed with the idea of going off-grid yourself, why not live the life for a day or two and see it from the inside! some aspects indistinguishable from a regular household, others require more attention, as well as a few unique appliances and alterations to make things work efficiently. If you want to get into the details and technical nitty-gritty, take advantage of a half-day off-grid workshop.
