[JUNE2023] It’s always a nice compliment when guests return, and last week I had one come back for a return stay in the yurt. She was last here during the first summer of COVID, when she and two friends who all lived together in a small Toronto condo escaped what was then pretty much a shut-in life for 3 days in a large, bright yurt surrounded by forest.
For the return visit she was bringing her boyfriend, and when requesting the breakfast-in-a-basket option remarked what good memories she had of the scent of cinnamon rolls during that first visit. I hadn’t been baking cinnamon rolls for a while… I seem to have been in a muffin phase so far this year… but figured that was a good occasion to get busy and make some.
I made a batch with raisins, and a batch without. They freeze well and if you’re one of the next few guests requesting breakfast good chance you will find a couple in your basket 🙂
